Tomato Diagnosis Is Available in PlantLab

Tomato diagnosis is available in PlantLab. This post began as a September 2026 announcement that tomato was the next crop. This October update replaces that earlier roadmap status with what you can use today.

What you can submit

Send a tomato photo through PlantLab or the API. Current coverage includes several leaf diseases, three nutrient deficiencies, spider mites, and leaf miners. The tomato page lists the supported diagnoses.

Coverage does not include every tomato problem. A curled leaf, a yellow patch, or a brown spot can have several causes. The tomato symptom guide explains what to inspect and record alongside a photo.

What the result means

Tomato results include a health verdict. An unhealthy result names one cause in conditions or pests. That is the response format, not a guarantee that only one problem exists on the plant.

Each supported crop has its own result fields, and the fields can change. Read the current API contract before building an integration.

A result can be wrong. Compare it with the plant and its history before choosing treatment. If damage spreads rapidly or the answer changes a major crop decision, ask a local plant clinic about testing.
